We decided at short notice to visit the area and after an easy booking process, settled on The Littleover Lodge Hotel. It turned out to be an excellent choice. Checking in took only a few minutes and we were shown personally to our room by the receptionist with the offer of assistance if we had any problems or questions. We were advised to book a table in the Carvery that evening if we wished to eat there as there was a special offer on meals for the evening. We did book and were treated to a superb carvery with excellent and speedy service. Breakfast was superb (we had full English) served once again by friendly and cheerful staff. We will be returning.
Comfortable, clean and friendly in a convenient location for Littleover.
Great value for money Excellent situation for me as close to motorway connections--very easy access to them. Was in Derby to meet friends and have lunch with ex-colleagues which was booked at the hotel. All staff very pleasant. Room excellent.
Covenient location for visiting family.
Staff didn't seem prepared for breakfast. No socket near mirror.
Nice little hotel with two great restaurants attached. One bar-style, family friends and one a la carte. Great stop over for business trips and will come back if in the area.
Room faces car park, so a little unsecure.
Friendly staff, particularly Jenny who after booking us in, showed us to our room. The room was comfortable and clean but a little dated. Lovely power shower. The buffet breakfast was plentiful. Ample free parking was a bonus. Would definitely recommend
Myself and my husband booked this hotel as a last minute break the hotel was faultless the rooms were spotless very comfortable and warm and the staff were great the carvery was lovely and and we had the full english breakfast the following morning were we were greeted by a lovely welcoming waitress who couldnt do enough to help she was lovely we could help ourselves to unlimited juices cereals fruit crossants and were served coffee/tea toast and the breakfast was freshly cooked bacon eggs sausage hash browns mushrooms beans and tomatoes we would definatly stay in this hotel again great value for money too
Cleanliness and good staff
Breakfast is not served at 07-00 orders are then taken, all the breakfast items are not even laid out by 07-00 so if you are planning a day leave a good 15-20 mins extra after 7-00 this is the only downfall for the buisiness person who has time constraints, otherwise great!!!
Alround good value for money
We just stayed for the one night. Everything turned out as it should be. It was a convenient location for a local annual dinner. All being well, we will no doubt be seeing them again, next year.
Just one small point: The numbers for all rooms should be clearer for when it is dark. Another visitor tried to key our room by mistake.
There was a good bar / lounge and a reasonable bar menu
It was a little difficult to find, i originally drove straight past, because i didn't see the signage.
The rooms are lovely and good value but the friendly staff really made it a hit for us.
Staff were excellent especially in the restaurant in the evening. Comfortable, clean and warm. Ideal location for Elvaston country park where I was attending a two day course.
It was convenient for visiting our daughter who is at Derby University
The bathroom was not very clean
/really friendly helpful staff throughout.
the carpet in the bar! they seemedto have done the rest of the place up but leeft the carpet, quite liked its electicness tho it added to its charm !
